Sergei Agalakov Raptor is not picking up the appropriate NLS setting (for an earlier thread on NLS_DATE_FORMAT see Set NLS_DATE_FORMAT at the startup It must be an explicit data conversion for DATE and TIMESTAMP data types without any lost of the significant data so instead of. information then it completely relies on an implicit data conversion. First that means I loose all hours, minutes etc. Second problem is that if I import data from the table to INSERT format then all DATE field are created in the INSERT statement as a string with the same YYYY-MM-DD format. JDeveloper works fine and takes NLS_DATE_FORMAT from an environment variable. It looks like that the date format is hardcoded to YYYY-MM-DD. I can't find a way to enforce NLS_DATE_FORMAT parameter and the like NLS% parameters.
#Apex sql format how to
As far as I remember, it involved setting an NLS_DATE_FORMAT for APEX application 4500. Although our database date format is set to DD-MON-RR, the newly-upgraded APEX 5.1.4 ignores this and uses MM/DD/YYYY as the default when running queries and scripts in SQL Commands. Does anyone know how to set this back to DD-MON-RR? I know that we can issue ALTER SESSION directives, and accept that we really should be applying date format strings to explicit date conversions (rather than expecting APEX to do implicit conversions based on NLS_DATE_FORMAT), but we had got very comfortable with DD-MON-RR and would like to have it back, if at all possible. Many thanks for your help. Regards, John Try set default date format from user preferences Fabulous - many thanks.ĭate format: error and enhancement request Hi,
